Exhaust Install
Hypothetically: If I had an exhaust on my floor, and a stock exhaust on my car, what would be the difficulty to reverse their positions? Unbolt, rebolt? Weld the muffler hangers and bang?

i did it in my garage with a small hydro floor jack and 2 stands. the jack only had a lift of like 18" too. so with a 2.5ton floor jack, youll be set
if you buy a catback thats designed for u car, theres not welding, just bolting/unbolting. its a good idea to squirt the bolts with wd40, and use anti-seize on the new bolts if u ever want to take them off in teh future

Catbacks bolt right up, thats why they are so great! The only problem you'll run in to is your old bolts will be rusty as ****!

when i did mine i ended up having to torch some of th bolts and even had to cut a few off, so hopefully you can break them loose, if not give em some heat, that usually works
edit: i just backed my car up on the ramps that i have, alot easier than jacking it up and i still managed to get the exhaust hooked up fine i figure i saved some time doin it that way, dont forget to install gaskets and put antisease on the bolts before you tighten them down it will save you time and stuck bolts if you decide to take it off for some reason:thumbup:

I did my friends Sentra SE-R in about 7min with a friend (yes i timed myself:fawk: ) Its a 03 so the bolts didnt even have a water spot on them. I used jackstands........and thats it.
On my Eclipse (It was a 96 and a Indiana car so it went through about five winters--more rust!) I had to torch and/or cut all of the bolts off. I had it on a lift so it made it easier though. I couldnt imagine doing it with a jack/ramps.

Damn, so it'll be the fcuknig hardest thing to remove the bolts? If i spray lotsa wd-40 and some anti-seize on them, would they come out easier? Like with 80 ft/lbs of torque?

Do yourself a huge favor... go to NAPA, and buy a big ass breaker bar. They're cheap, waranteed for life, and will give you enough torque to totally destroy any and all threads on any object you desire.
