Question about LOWERING my car.
I have a 95 civic and I want it lowered. Can anyone tell me everything that I need to do so... lowering spring vs coilovers, camber kits, struts.. etc ?? I want this done correctly so that it doesnt rub constantly or have any uneven tire wear. thanks.
If your into fine tuning your suspension then I say go for coilovers bro. Do some research and learn exactly what you want to do man. How much drop do you want? Are you looking to race or is it just for looks? A little of both? Depending on how far you drop and sometimes regardless, you will need a camber kit. You also have to look at the offset of your rims as well man. Find out what offset is need to clear your fender. I have neuspeed springs/koni yellows. Love em but I needed a cambe kit really bad. dropped about 1.75f/1.5R and still I needed one. However when I installed the kit I noticed alot of rubbing due to having the wrong offset rims.

You'll get the best results from a coil-over system (like Tein, H&R, Apexi, etc.), but the coilover kits work well too (Skunk2, Ground Control)

If your going to be serious about it and smart, you would get the coilover set up. It gives you lots of flexability meaning that you can raise or lower it as you want. Not only that but you save yourself from having to buy shocks and springs. I would recomend you go for the coilovers first then you won't say down the line I wish I would have got the coilovers instead of the spring/shock set up.
