lol, if you want to take the weight off, and keep it a daily driver, it CAN be done. Trust me... I'll have pictures soon enough.

ehh ... its way out of my budget anyway, and it wouldn't be streetable. I'll prolly end up sellin the type r pistons and going with lower compression ratio for boost.

Maybe with sleeves, pushing at least 18psi, and a 100 shot.
(and also all those other components that turbo and nitrous need)
Wow, this was a quick guess, I wonder if you put some stickers on it and a picnic table sized wing...

Possible? Sure, anything is pretty much.

If you're trying to get that deep into the ETs though you should really consider a B-series or H22 swap. It'd be a helluva lot simpler and probably even cheaper.

The engine, with 18 lbs. of boost and a 100 hp shot of nitrous, made 412 hp to the wheels at 6900 rpm and 365 ft. lb. tq. to the wheels at 6500 rpm.

car weighs 2290 lbs. w/driver

best e.t.: 11.62 e.t. at 128 mph

That's an all-out drag car and it pulled that ET on slicks.

Like I said, possible but not really practical.

For a 10 second all-motor drag car, you'll need a higher compression ratio piston then the Type-R's. A lot higher. You'll be damned to use ultra-high octane race fuel, too.

Not to mention it will have to be ported beyond anything we would consider sane, and the cams you'd have to run... oh my.

A 10 second all motor car is probably going to cost a lot more then you'll ever be willing to spend. We're talking a seriously built I4, you might as well buy a new house.

The del Sol wouldn't be my first choice of chassis', either. It is a lot easier to make an 1800lb chassis run 10's then it is to make a 2500lb chassis do the same.

Cliff's notes: I don't think you quite realize how fast and expensive a 10 second car is, especially an all-motor.

actually I've been talking to my Honda buddies here in town, and my mechanic has an all motor CRX doin 11's. I had already planned on Toda cam gears, camshafts (spec b), and valve springs. Header is next on the list. www.todaracing.com
