difference between B16a2 and b16a3??
Whats the difference between a2 and a3?
I know that the a3 came in 94-95 Del Sol Vtec, and a2 came in 92+ civic and 95+ delsol..and that the a3 have got 170hp, and a2 have got 160hp..
But whats the difference?

Jdm b16a2 is obd1
usdm or jdm b16a3 is obd2
b16a2=92-95 jdm civic
b16a3=96-97 usdm delsol,99-00 jdm or usdm civic si

JDM motors were just B16A. you can only tell the difference in generation by transmission and OBD.
B16A3 was found only in USDM Del Sol VTEC (obd 1)
B16A2 was found only in USDM Civic Si (obd 2)

The b16a3 from the usdm delsol's is obd 1 but the same motor in the 96-97 delsol's was changed to obd 2. If putting the motor into a 92-95 civic you want to stick with the obd 1,anything newer,the obd 2.
