Default Bump stop removal?

I need to get the bump stops off my stock shocks to put on my AGX's. There seems to be a welded washer that keeps the bump stop from coming off. Do I need to cut it off? Any feed back would be great.

If it's the thick washer I think you're talking about, it's not welded to the piston. You just need to give it a good whack to knock it off. Good luck.

my suspension always needs a little encouragement (brute force) to come apart. Shouldn't be a problem.

ya knock it loose, think about it the suspension has to hold the weight of the car, its not gonna budge by hand. just whack it with a hammer or even a socket wrench.

Like they said, it is tapered so it is just wedged there. Just give it a tap with a hammer and it will break loose. Also, if you are going with lowering springs, you will want to cut the bump stops in half.
