Automatic Performance?
Is that an Oxymoron?
Well I have my D16Y8 Automatic. I don't have any funds to buy a manual or a swap so this is what I have to work with. Besides the usual I/H/E, what else can I do? I saw in a recent article that Edelbrook has a boost set up delivering 6-7 psi. Do you think that would work with an auto? Would the engine hold up? Any other engine mods I could do?
Thanks for the advice!

h: not sure if i am spose to but oh well. Its the Zex kit so it goes when i hit wide open throttle. The engine seems to be holding up pretty well havent noticed anything out of the ordinary. same with tranny. Only real mods are Injen Short ram intake and Arospeed muffler welded to stock piping
Auto trannies can be good for turbo setups.... Since youre on the gas through the whole pass, you don't loose as much boost (read: all your boost) between shifts. Invest in a high-stall torque converter and turbo that bish... Just keep a few hundred bucks lying around for when you trash your tranny and need a new one.
Try better tq converters...or tranny chips...i think they sell them at levelten.com. ZEX kits and other N20 products work ok ok... I just heard you shouldn't put more than 70 hp to the tranny or it WILL burn out...so I guess becareful what you do. Try a little bit of head and bottom end work and something with the fuel management.
Lol If I sound stupid, anyone please correct me...
