Default Im done with everything ... Now i need some power!

I finished the way my car is gonna look for a while and i did suspencion(kyb agx + neuspeed race very good). But everything has something done to it besides the stock d16y8 engine.I have a aem short ram intake. Thats it and the car and engine has only 46k on it.Im currently debating whether too buy a turbo for my car or a b series engine then turbo later. This prolly wont happen for a while, but i wanna start saving up already got 2500 for this. Buy the time i do this i may have around 7k or so. Not saying i want to spend this all but its nice to know i have it. If going turbo i was thinking LS/Turbo non-vtec. The turbo would be a drag kit and ls would first run on stock internals then later beefed up. What do you think i could run in the 1/4 mile on both these setups? and would spray be able to be used on both? I want to spray and turbo them. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

p.s. car is a 98 civic ex coupe if that helps

If I was in your position I would get a B18C1 swap and turbo it, would pump out a pretty good bit of power and may be just what you're looking for. If that sounds good to you, talk to westcoaststyle, he's doing that right now. But yea I would get the c1 swap and turbo then do a few other small internal upgrades and you should be doing good.

I forget which magazine it was in...but some guy put a CRV engine in his civic (97 I think) I don't know all those series numbers though. That's a pretty hefty little engine though.

I agree with snoopy, boost your D series, don't sucumb to the swapping peer pressure.

I have to agree as well. Build up your D series and turbo the hell outta it. If you have 2500 already saved up, you can easily get started on your turbo 1 cam wonder. If you do turbo your D, not only will you get respect from swapped cars, but you'll also do something that not alot of other people do = Originality

But... if you have the money, turbo and spray a GSR or LS engine:thumbup:

Boosting the D-series is a great project to cut your teeth on.

I want to go and drive mine, but it's 4am, and my open DP wakes up deaf people.
