thanks im thinking i might start off with the greddy kit and get the greddy intercooler and s type blow off valve i see these on e bay right now all together for around 1500 or so. Then maybe just do some internal mods. I think i may stay with a d series just because i heard of a turbo d16 is better than a turbo b16(same kit and boost, ie greddy kits at 7 psi i believe) is there anyway you could spray too? Or should i go NA d16y8 with a 75 shot ?

Id turbo your D series right now, then see how you like it. After that, do some internals, and then spary your engine as well. You'll love it after you have internals, a turbo, and nitrous.

With the turbo ls you should be in the 13's. It is a pretty reliable setup and a lot of fun. And where did you hear that turbo d series is better than b16 turbo, lol thats a load of bull. Turbo b18b on 8 psi will have you above 200whp, turbo d16 on 8 psi will have you at about 170whp. The d series is a waste of time you will enjoy a turbo'd b series so much more.

For just plain old power for street/drag:

Turbo dohc > turbo sohc > na dohc > na sohc

If I had the money, I'd swap and turbo... B20B is a good, cheap starting point. :naughty:

You can all thank me later for stating the obvious hfawk:

my color is white! hell yea white civic's rule... besides that i read somewhere that jkan walked a greddy turbo b16... i think it was only 1 less psi too , and it seems like alot of people on here like there d's so im thinking of doing it too. swapping is a good idea if you dont have a good engine or too many miles but the d16y8 is the best d series for a civic and with only 46k d have plenty of life in it

Yeah, a turbo D is very fun.

I just got mine, and still haven't wiped the grin off my face.
