Default How do you install this???

Hey all, I'm ordering a shock/strut mount for my 97 4dr. I'm wondering how you install this strut mount? I know the picture shows three screws but I know it should have two since that's the Civic's configuration. Do you need the original fendor washer on top, the mounting collar in the center and the spring mounting rubber (the one that the spring top touches)? My rear shocks are making clunking noise and it comes from the stock mounts. I have KYB AGX. Thanks!

I can't get the link to work and really have no idea wtf you're actually talking about.

from what I hear it's your springs hitting together that makes the "boing" sound. not the mount.

Strut Mount? Do you mean Strut Bar?

Skubb:

Here's the link again:

Good thought on the spring hitting itself. But I have Eibach Pro on KYB AGX, the spring should be hard enough not to have coil hitting coil. Anyway, I've ordered new shocks and I just want to know how the strut mount is installed. The one on the link has three screws but the one I've ordered has two screws to fit the Civic format.

FourthGenHatch:
I really mean strut mount. It's the part that holds the top of the suspension piece to the chassis. It contains a "Crown" with two screws and two pieces of grommets sandwhiching the strut shaft. It's also where you mount your strut bar on top of.
