A ? for you guys w/ GReddy Turbo
I'm looking here at the greddy turbo kit td04h-15g, for 92-95 civic ex's, and it says it'll also fit 96-00 ex's w/ minor modifacations. can any of you who've installed this tell me what these minor modifacations are? thanks, J
You do not have to use a Greddy kit that needs modifications to fit a D16Y8 96-00 Civic. Get the Edelbrock turbo kit p/n 1500 and you will have a kit that will bolt-on your car and is CARB approved. The Greddy kit is not street legal on 96-00 Civics. E-mail sales@dralleengineering.com for more info on the kit. The Performer X kit is complete and performs right out of the box.

The Greddy/Trust TD04H-15g Turbo kit was made for the '92-'95 Honda Civic EX, however, it will fit every Civic EX up to the 2000 model. The kit bolts right up on the later models with only a difference in the wiring of the piggy-back Fuel Management Unit or Blue Box

:wtf: are you talking about? Where did you hear that Greddy Turbo Kits are not street legal? I have never seen anything on Greddy Turbo Kits not being street legal. I could be wrong but I don't think so.

In all of Greddy's catalogs and liturature the 96-00 kit is always shown as EO pending. A legal kit for 92-95 is not legal on a later vehicle.
Edelbrock engineered the Perfromer X kit on a 2000 LEV car. The strategy for passing emisions will work all the way back to 92. The 92-95 Performer X kit for D16Z6 engines will available CARB approved by the end of the year.

Here is the link for the Edelbrock kit. Look at what you get. CARB approved, proper fuel managemant, intercooled, blow-off valve and you do not need a turbo timer with a water cooled turbo center housing. The kit can be bought for less than $3500. It can be bought in the $3000-3100 range. The performance and the quality is worth it.
