haha, got to shut up all the edlebrock nazis and their overpriced kits with useless accesories

besides who the hell cares about carb exemption. If you slap a test pipe or anything else on that car it's not exempt anymore, push it to 8 psi and it's not exempt, change the bov and its not exempt.

Just buy an inspection sticker for 50 bucks like me

Default Jkan2001

Jkan2001,
The Performer X kit gives people what they want, makes great power safely and is all bolt-on. You think it is over priced? The parts are the highest quality and are sold at a fair price. The kit works, customers are buying them.

Every car has different conditions, elevations, and other factors to deal with. When you're pushing 7+ pounds of boost through a weak aluminum block motor with toothpick rods the last thing you want is "universal out of the box tuning"

Besides it's priced so much higher than most the kits out there and the extra intake manifold/parts obviously don't put out any better numbers than say a 15G greddy kit at the same boost levels.
you're just a full of shit....cheap ass who can only afford an out of date, discontinued Apexi turbo.

A Honda has a MAP sensor....Manifold Absolute Pressure....hence, it compensates for altitude changes on its own! No need for special tuning.

You talk about your wonderful 170 ft-lbs of torque, but your turbo is too tiny to keep the torque at 170 ft-lbs....hence why it drops so low at higher revs.

Do use a favor and learn more about other peoples stuff before you start preaching the bible. You think the Edelbrock kit is overpriced? Both Rev Hard and Drag kits go for about the same price.

Default Pissing Contest

This long ago turned from a technical discussion into a pissing contest. If you want to discuss about engineering that is what I like to do. Lets do that.

blah blah blah, even when my 170 ft pounds drops off in the last 1000 rpms i'm still making more than you across the board. So either i'm making 30 more or 5 more torque to the wheel, you still lose.

And revhards come with a t3/t04E, not a pussy ass T28. You can't compete with the big boys, and when you try and pick on the small turbos you still lose. BTW if you think IHI ball bearing turbos are out of date you must live in a hole in the ground, they are making 700-1000 whp in rx7, supras etc in japan. All the top WRX tuning companies also choose the same ball bearing turbo for their upgrade turbos. The Vishnu stage 2 kit with the ihi bb turbo puts down over 300 whp.

Who else is using a T28 in their kit? hrmm no one, cause it's the old/outdated turbo. How about i spend that extra money i saved and go get a real intake manifold like an AEBS or skunk 2 so i can see some real gains instead of dumping my money into a bunch of edlebrock crap.
