i want to get a fly wheel for me 99 honda civic ex, and i'd like to know which one i should get how much they are and what exactly they do. i'd also like to know what i could do to improve exceleration at higher speeds without lightening my car.

 

why do you want just a flywheel if you don't even know what they do?

and it would be acceleration.

If u wanted a new flywheel, say...a lighter one, u hafta go thru major s#it to get one in. Flyhweels aren't easy to get to, u can't just REPLACE a flywheel. U hafta get into the engine to replace it. Flywheels aren't cheap either. The lighter they are, the stronger they hafta be. Because they spin around at such high rates, they have to be built strong. Flyhwheels can crack easily if stressed too hard. I wouldn't get a new flywheel if i were you, because i hafta buy one, and take it to a shop to have it installed. But, itz up to u. Peace

:doh:..........don't hook up your car man ........stages are are the different strengths/durability.

 

how do you go from flywheels to turbos. i think you need to go back and learn what a car is first, before you start sticking new parts in there. you'd be prime grade choice meat for a shop trying to rip someone off.
