Default track times

went done to the track last night andgot in a few runs. it was my first time at a track so it took me a few runs to get used to everything. i have a 95 civic coupe with JDM GSR. my best time was a 15.085 at 94.5 mph. i was having alot of trouble getting started, i kept spinning to much and i was only starting at like 2 grand. i have kuhmo 712's and they are shit for traction. but overall i am happy with the 15. i will be going up next week with a new intake, and now that i am getting used to it, i should be able to break into the 14's as long as i can get some good starts. if anyone wants to see the time slips, i can post them up. i jsut dont have a enough time right now.

That's a good mph. That seems to be the norm for stock gsr civic's.

Get some 13" drag wheels. And mickeys. You'll shave off at least a couple of tenths, especially if you said that your spinning already. www.weldmotorsports.com 13"x8" + Slicks = Sexy

i don't think a gsr swap civic warrants slicks, if he's spinning he's probably just launching too high or he forgot to lower his tire pressure and heat up his tires before he ran (it makes a WORLD of difference)

i'm putting down 176 whp 173 torque and i pulled consistent 2.1 60 foots on some 50% tread left STOCK 175/645/14 firestones on some steelies. I guarantee you i can hit a 2.0-2.1 on my 205/50/15 kumho ecsta 712s (same tires that huviduc has) Even the best parts can't compensate for a lack of driver talent.
