Here are the Instructions for the Gold Series:
Disconnect your battery prior to installation.
This is a high voltage system and may cause burn or shock if neon tubes are not properly installed or connections are poorly insulated.
Consult your local car audio or auto accessory installation center if uncertain of wiring or installation of neon tubes.
Handle tubes carefully, as inner tube is not flexible and will break if tube is dropped or hit against hard surfaces.

Step 1. Kit Contents:
1) Unpack all components of kit and place neon tubes away from installation area.

2) Check the above contents list and locate each item, you are now ready for installation.

Step 2. Testing the Tubes:
1) Our initial step is to illuminate each neon tube.

2) Temporarely connect black neon cable from each end of tube to black neon cable on transformer (SG9500L).

3) Using your car battery or equivalent 12volt power source, connect transformer positive lead (red wire w/inline fuse) to your powersource’s positive lead (red).

4) Connect your transformer’s ground (metal bracket) to your negative lead (black) to your power source.

5) Your neon tube should now light up.

6) Repeat step 2 for all four neon tubes.
NOTE: Connections of tubes to the transformer’s neon leads during the test stage are to be temporary and easy to disconnect.

Step 3. Installation of Neon Tubes:
Be sure not to make any neon tubes visible from the front, rear or sides. This is prohibited by law in most areas.

1) Mount the SG-9500 Transformer on a flat metal surface that is both near the vehicle’s battery and accessible for neon wire lead connections, but away from engine and moving parts.

2) Locate a desired position for tube placement that is away from all fuel lines, exhaust system, areas of extreme heat, moving parts and where lifts or jacks are used to raise your vehicle. Run closest neon tube leads to the SG-9500 Transformer that allows for the least length of wire (do not make connection at this time).

3) Mount side neon tubes to the vehicle with provided 1” nylon clamps. Secure clamps 12” apart from each other. Proceed to mount front and rear neon tubes. Make sure all tubes are securely flush mounted to vehicle.

4) Trim off surplus wire from neon tubes before connecting to neon tubes. Avoid slack and secure all neon wire leads.
NOTE: Allow 2” of straight wire at the end of each tube before bending in any direction.

5) Now you are ready for wiring.

Step 4. Wiring Connections:
1) Trim and connect the two closest neon tube leads to the SG-9500 Transformer

2) From the ends of the neon tube leads and transformer leads, strip-off 1” of black insula tion from the cable

3) Where two leads are to be connected, slide a clear PVC tubing onto one end of the lead

4) Twist the neon tube wires together NOTE: Do not solder or use butt connectors or other connecting devices as this will malfunction the system.

5) To insure proper installation, wrap black electrical tape over connection.

6) Slide the clear PVC tubing over the connection.

7) Complete the insulation by wrapping another layer of electrical tape over the PVC

8) All your tubes should be now be connected in a series along with transformer (SG9500). Once complete, double check all connections between neon tubes and make sure wires are all secured to vehicle.

Step 5. Wiring On/Off Switch:

1) Mount switch in a accessible and desirable location inside vehicle.

2) Connect the three cables as labeled

3) Be sure to insulate each connection w/black electrical tape to avoid future malfunction of kit.

4) You have now completed the installation of neon tubes and on/off switch.

5) Reconnect your battery.

6) You are now ready to turn the switch on and start enjoying your new Gold Series undercar kit.

8) Keep on Glowin

And here are the Instructions for the Blue Line:
1) Located a desired location for tube placement that is away from all fuel lines, exhaus system, areas of extreme heat, moving parts and where lifts or jacks are used to raise your vehicle. With nylon clamps, fasten tubes to your vehicle with self-tapping screws. Tubes are marked for proper clamp placement. (4 clamps per 54" tube, 3 clamps per 30" tube)

2) On a flat moisture free area, mount multi-outlet power distribution block that is near your power source (ie: fusebox or battery) and accessible for neon wire lead connections, but away from engine and moving parts.

3) Run neon power wires to distribution block that allows for the least length of wire. Avoid slack, trim off surplus wire from neon tubes before connecting to distribution block. Complete connection of all neon power wires and secure with the provided wire holders. (Allow 2" of straight wire from neon tube before making a bend). In the event where neon power wires need to be lengthened, make sure to insulate connection with black electrical tape to ensure a moisture free connection (wire type: 18GA 12 volt)

4) Refer to wiring diagram for power and switch connection

5) Installation is complete, enjoy!

The Blue Line looks like it is so much easier to Install but the only bad thing about the Blue Line is it is not covered for breakage under the warranty

Whoa! 1981 called.. they want their neons back!! :chuckles:

Why neons man.. why? Do you like getting harassed by the police? Do you like girls to tell you your car is "cute" and "pretty"?

It's obviously your car, but I just never understood why people want the bottom of their car to glow.. :dunno:

You could have spent that $100 on one of those cool aluminum wings or something. h: :chuckles:
