Default My post about painting and wrapping headers.

Don't know if you guys remember this but I painted my A'PEXi Gt headers and wrapped them last week cause the under hood temperatures were getting too high and I think it was killing my performance and efficiency of my radiator.

After wrapping them Friday night I went to Honda Fest on Saturday and talk about PUTRID smelling smoke! It did that for about 45 minutes to Englishtown. Now it's a nice golden brown. Today I'm taking them off again to coat the wrap with some heat resistant paint again to prevent deterioration of the wrap.

But at this moment my car's temperature is alot cooler and the car has better throttle response than before.

Doesnt this wrap stuff actually destroy your header quicker than normal? How it doesnt allow heat to disapate?

yeah, i dont really care about that.... $75 used headers, i will risk em to get more performance.... plus i painted my headers and all the paint flaked off and now they look like crap. I wanna wrap em, if theyre gonna be ugly might as well get some benefit.
