actually, I've thought of this.

what I would do...

you can extend the harness for the air condition controls. Its just a matter of cutting the wires and spicing in a certain length. Mount the A/C controls in the armrest holder box. It should fit almost perfectly. Mount the headunit down near the cupholders, possibly doing a similar thing to it's harness (allthough I think the harness reaches), and then cut a hole where the A/C and the HU used to be big enough for the screen. Use peices of plastic to fill the gaps. Glue in place with plastic weld or maybe super glue. then use gap filler on the peice. Sand it down real good and smooth. Spray paint it black (or any color you want), and reinstall.

The A/C unit should just have wires that go into it. I don't see why you couldn't extend them.

where do they sell LCD screens for cars... just the screen no plastic bezel around it.

i checked ebay but all i found was a buncha lcd screens that are supposed to be mounted w/ a little arm thingy which is real gay...

do i have to get a screen that has power on off buttons and all that other stuff or can i just get the screen itself.

i found this...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=14946

or this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2425156540

would it work? if i had a seperate deck that plays dvd,cd,mp3?

would it be better

no matter what screen i get, it'll be backlit so i can still see it in night, right?

does anybody know about contrast, brightness n all those other settings n how one would go about fine tuning the display or would it come out fine w/o tuning.

adamdaviddoyle, do you think u can get that guys email addy so i can ask him some questions.

any suggestions on wut screen 2 get.. under 150 bux

i personally think you should mount it below.. where there is that extra din spot.. don't mess with anything above.
