Better yet, get a relay, and run a 10 gauge wire all the way to the battery in order to power your fuel pump. Have the relay triggered by the factory fuel pump power wire. This eliminates dips in the current from turning on accessories like signal lights, headlights, wipers, subwoofers, etc... by getting power direct from the battery. It's worth a bit more current and a bit more fuel pressure. I'd hate to run lean when I'm signaling or when the bass hits. But that's me.

Just a tip...

If you want to nitpick a stranger giving you good advice, go ahead.

A bass is a fish. You mean, you don't race with a spotted bass in the floorboard for good luck? Striped bass are worth at least .020 seconds. Man, with gains like that, I run with a trunk full of them.

Bass or not, it's irrelevant. Using a relay and wiring your fuel pump directly to the battery is usually considered an upgrade for cars that CAME WITH a turbo. It's worth a few PSI more fuel pressure. I don't care what's in whoever's car, it's a mod for people who know what they're doing with their turbo car's fuel system.

That wiring is obviously for an inline fuel pump. Would it be benefitial to run a dedicated wire for an intank pump?

Westcoast: You got it. I'm talking about wiring your in-tank like that.

Have you seen the 16 gauge wire that powers it? It runs through the rest of your car's long-ass wiring harness to get there, and through god knows how many connectors. Bypass that sucker if you want any consistency. The wire that's already there is perfect for switching the relay.

Most people who turbocharge their civics totally overlook this. It's great to get a high-capacity fuel pump, but if you can't get the current there, what's the point?

...by the way Paulll, nice intercooler. Don't let anyone ever tell you it's too big. It depends on what you do with your car. It's perfect for circuit tracks. You got a sweet deal on it, too.

And if you don't fuse the 10 gauge wire running to it, then you'll have to shut your car off in order to put the fire out provided that gasoline isn't involved already.

You don't need to crack into the fuel tank to do it. Just run the wire to the fuel pump connector outside of it.
