Default intake question

what do you think is better?
1. a K&N straight on the throttle body (no restrictions, but it is closer to the motor so the air is hotter.)

or

2. a K&N on the stock intake tube (more restriction but getting cooler air)

I thoght straight on the throttle body would be better because I didnt think there would be much of a temp difference because they are pretty close, but i could be wrong, let me know, thanks.

Straight on the throttle body. Are you retarded? There would be no velocity and the air would be hot as shit. Just get a K&N drop in and take out the resonator, don't waste your money on anything else. supermac88, those tail lights are the most hideous thing I have seen in a while. JMO

theres no restriction if i put it on the throttle body, so thats what i did. the stock intake tube is way too small in my opinion, and i got the filter for free, so i spent no money and got a nice gain. thanks for the input tho.

Its actually surprising how much air is being pulled throught the stock tube running to the throttle body. I disconnected my air box from the hose todo some testing and theres alot of air being pulled thru there, I could just imagine what its like at higher rpms. So I would say get your self a CAI setup cause it'll be bigger in diamter and have better air flow. And btw.. having no air filter.. the car has quite a high pitch whine .. I can just imagine what it'd be like with a CAI.
