Default Wheel noise..

I was driving around with a buddy of mine and he said he heard a wheel noise. He is a mechanic and said it sounded like the rear wheel bearings... does this make sense to anyone? And if it is wheel bearings, how much are new ones and is it a job I can do myself?

The only thing I can think of is a miss tread (bum tire) or a CV joint issue. Hows the CV boot?

BTW ~ If you have Yoko's...thats your answere . My Parada's are loud!

to check if you have a bad wheel bearing jack up the side you think it's on. once the wheel is off the ground, grab the wheel north and south and jiggle it. if there is play(movement) in the wheel then it's more than likely a bearing.

it's probably just your tires. i have the same problem. my bearings are new and i have that noise due to poor tire wear and being just plain poor.

it could be the spring hitting something or bouncing a little on bumps :dunno:

I'll check that out. And its kinda hard for me to hear the noise. I never really noticed it until he pointed it out to me. And recently I just changed my wheels/tires out, so I'll have to see if it was the tires or something. Thanks!
