I was driving around with a buddy of mine and he said he heard a wheel noise. He is a mechanic and said it sounded like the rear wheel bearings... does this make sense to anyone? And if it is wheel bearings, how much are new ones and is it a job I can do myself?
to check if you have a bad wheel bearing jack up the side you think it's on. once the wheel is off the ground, grab the wheel north and south and jiggle it. if there is play(movement) in the wheel then it's more than likely a bearing.
it's probably just your tires. i have the same problem. my bearings are new and i have that noise due to poor tire wear and being just plain poor.
