A close friend of mine is currently in the academy here in San Antonio and will be making 34k a year with a BA in CJ. But if that's what you want. Not worth the risk if you ask me. But it's about the only thing being in the army as a grunt will help you to be.

That must just be where you live. In two years when I hit top pay, I'll be making over $80k a year as a patrolman....and thats before overtime (which will push me up into six figures)

San Antonio cops don't get paid shit....
a few years ago, we had some crooked cops busted by the feds for trasporting coke in squad cars while in uniform.
they'd do anything for a buck
