Default wheel hop

wow I was driving today and i was at a stoplight when a dx pulled up to me and revved, so i decided i might try to take him. Not hapenning I revved and when I let out the clutch my tires started to squeel and then the started hopping. I have never had problems with wheel hop before but this was bad what could be wrong?

shitty shocks perhaps? Or maybe peeling out in a CX is the cause of the problem :fawk:

if youre getting ground controls, dont use youre stock shocks. They cant damp the increased spring rate, and it sounds like theyre probably blown or on the way out anyway. But seriously, you shouldnt upgrade your springs without upgrading your shocks. Handling and reliability will both suffer.

YES. IMO, shocks are the single most worthwhile modification you can buy.

Would you like some reccomendations?

wheel hop is an issue with fwd cars.

the springs and shock will def help

i've been working rather hard on reducing/removing wheel hop..

just got find a way to keep the weight down on the front and not let it shift towards the rear.

i've been doing polyurethane bushings, and motor mounts, and traction bars which greatly reduce wheel hop

nice sticky tires also help. there's lots of stuff you can do.

upgrade ur spring/shock combo and look into polyurethane motor inserts or mounts. you should ask bumnah if he has the short video clip of camera sittin on his dash while his car at idle with those mounts on. that will eliminate some hop for ya.
