Yeah, i read little life story in that other thread.... I'll try and keep it on the cheap side... But you definitely don't want to skimp in this department, even if it requires saving up for quite a while.

ADJUSTABLE: I don't know if you plan to autocross or not, or if you do much backroads driving or whatever... thats what these are mostly good for.

KONI YELLOWS: pretty much the best you can buy. Damping is awesome, adjutability is awesome. I got mine for $515. LIfetime warrantee if you can figure out how to register them.

TOKIKO ILLUMINAS: I used to autocross on these. They were pretty good. Damping wasn't quite as good as the yellows, neither was adjustability (5 settings rather than infinite adjustability). They were something like $320 a couple years ago, I don't know how much they cost now.

KYB AGX: People seem pretty happy with these, I've never used them, so I can't give any personal insight. These are the cheapest of the decent adjustable shocks.

NON-ADJUSTABLE: Good if you just want improved handling and ride with your springs, but aren't a nit-picker.

TOKICO BLUES: theyre ok, priced pretty competitively.

BILSTEIN: kinda hard to come by, kinda expensive, but of VERY GOOD quality. Probably have a good warrantee too.

Thats pretty much all I know about non-adjustables.

yeah, how many miles does your car have. If the stock bushings are all worn out, it would be a good time to upgrade to polyurethane.

my car has 128,000 kinda gettin a little long in the days, I really just want a good ride at a good price i really don't need adjustables cause I am a rookie this is the first car I've ever owned. I have always had 4x4 trucks so I am at a weird learning curve.

Well then I'd reccomend the tokico blues. Anybody else is welcome to make suggestions also... Shop around a bit, but definitely let us know what you find... you don't want to end up with cheap shit. Also, ask what their warantee policy/reccomendations are for lowering. You definitely get what you pay for in this department, and if the propaganda ad bs sounds too good to be true, it is.

i'm not a big fan of the tokico blues at all!

the stock ITR shocks have better dampening then those things.

i'd look into non adjustable Koni's or KYB's. i believe they are stiffer and go better with ground controls...

blue are pretty much a more expensive stock shocks. i absolutely hated my blues.

look into the stock ITR i think they are only like $100 for all 4 and you'll need some ITR rear lca's to use 'em on your honda. another $100.

so for $200 you get nice shocks, but the non adjustable koni's or kyb's are probably pretty similar in dampening and price.

OK thanks. I wasn't so sure on the non-adjustables.... so I'm glad somebody clarified. h: :exnbp:

Good tires on a budget are Yoko avs ES100 and kumho 712.
