My 97 jdm itr swap came today from hmo. Hehe i am so gitty, cant wait to put it in.

how do you tell if its a specR or JDM GSR since theres no number after the b18C? i know valve cover isn't a good way cause that can always be changed but what other stuff can you go by? nice motor by the way :thumbup: im going to get one soon

Easiest way to tell is the intake manifold.

check out www.bseries.net for more info.

You can tell what year the motor is (usually) by the numbers on the head (could be changed... but prolly not). That helps to determine it.

The ultimate test is the compression test. That will let you know for sure.

Finally, there is no JDM GSR, it's an SiR-G h:

Once this is done, this will be the first car with dohc vtec i have driven.

I will if we need help. Probably wont need to since the guys doing it with me have already done a lot of swaps.
