He could still match up the gaskets to see if it would fit. Even though I posted inappropriatly, I'm still right about DOHC/SOHC not fitting. Relax dude, I'm sure you've read something wrong before.

simmah don nah.
itll bolt up, you will have an issue of having to lengthen the cat back in order to make up for the missing cat down below.
ex keeps it cat right after the header whereas the dx keeps its cat IN the header. one will have to come out, meaning the EX one, unless you want to run two inline, which would be severly power robbing.
these exhaust mating questions have been on my mind a lot lately, so i understand your frustration.

write a book and save us the trouble.
It also depends on what year the DX header is from because my '95 DX header doesn't have the cat in the header. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
I'm thoroughly impressed fujiwara, that's the most sincere answer I've seen you give out here. Thanks for the info!

Seriously!

just b/c you read si doesnt mean they only made 1 gen of them. and nobody is arguing that a dohc header will not fit a sohc motor b/c we all know that.

I'm not going to argue with you man, I really don't know what your problem is.....

92-95 Civic D15's and D16's will fit, with modifications to the cat and exhaust length.
...BUT since you said "if it starts with the same letter, it will fit..." ..this is not true. WHY?...because 86-89 Integras had the D16A motor which was DOHC and had the same design as the DOHC ZC motors. I dont know why Honda gave it a D designation...but that answers your question.
