to me its not just being fast its also being reliable. when i used to help fix cars on the side there were alot of neons more than anything else. even when old people owned them too.

also on a side note my moms 93 mitsubishi expo with only 35,000 miles, needed to be checked cause one day it just stopped running. turns out the headgasket was leaking and also it burned all the valves. so we had to get the valves changed and remill the head, and now it needs a new computer. WTF??

the apexi kit that jkan and I have is a ball bearing turbo, which is more expensive than non ball bearings. ball bearing turbos spool up alot quicker, and create nasty ass torque figures, its unbelievable that jkan has 173 lb/ft torque at the ground. but he has proof, and it wasnt even a good dyno day for him.

i have a shit load more torque also..i think there is a dyno day coming up for $40 and i want to get my shit down on paper.

I love reading these threads, but at the same time, I hate them.

$4000 spent on what I have, and I'd be looking at another $3000 for speed h:

My D series put down 173 torque to go with the 176 whp, and i'm not even tuned on hondata just the afc hack with a dead clogged up cat. Also you're only putting out a lot of power top end, i bet even on 7 psi it's gonna take you till 6500 rpms to make more power than me.

I raced a pistons/rods/sleeved fully built 00 si with the greddy kit on 13 psi and it took him till 90 mph to catch me. Once he spooled up at the top of third he RIPPED me though.
you are judging the h/p #'s from a shitty turbo kit and calling the motor crap. not true. that kit was made to be a basic bolt-on 100% smog legal turbo kit. it wasn't designed for huge h/p #'s. look at si's with better turbo kits and tell me that the #'s are that low. they're not. it's all relative. use a crummy product and get crummy results. don't blame the motor. and when racing at the 1/4 mile track to be losing until 3rd gear isn't a big deal. many cars don't start to really pull hard until about half track. it's all about who gets to the END 1st. not who led the longest.

I haven't spent that much yet tho... But I'm sure... soon. And that's still not on the go-fast-goodies. LOL Slugomatic for life!
