You may also have to bleed and reoil your jack.

If you want to use ramps, maybe you could put some 1.5inch planks for the rear tires to rest on, that's would maybe help your bumper clear the angle, a little more.

Keep in mind, I missed this cause I suck at blatantly obious things. You can't work on the suspension with the ramps... cause the wheels are still supporting weight.

in another (un)related vein, anyone else hate the little ridge you're supposed to use as a jack point on the frame?! Seems like all the ****ing jackstand I use have a deep V cut out, and are next to useless for my aplication...

Also the jack stand shanks make decent wheel chocks in a pinch (then again, so do old rotors, eheheh)

When I didn't know any better, I also bought some deep V "SUV" type jackstands so I know what you mean. The shallower type are out there though. Just gotta look. Sears I know has them.

they also make extensions for the ramps, that make the incline less steep. i use the extensions, and luckily i have a driveway that slopes up, so i set the ramps at the edge of my garage, and the incline allows me to get up on the ramps.

i love the ramps for changing oil. its much easier

I did a search, but no one seemed to have the same problem. I wanted to jack my car up and set it on jackstands, but when I jack it up from the front, it does not go high enough to let me put jackstands on the sides. Do I just have to get a jack that goes higher or get smaller jackstands?

or those one race jacks they sell at kragen. there lightweight, lower then the usual hydraulic jack, I think its like 3 ton jack. the front is one solid roller instead of 2 wheels. But what I do if I dont have my jack is drive it on some wood or blocks. Then theres enough clearance to put one of them smaller jacks under it. My car is dropped 2"
