damn bearings :madfawk: wned:


as as i suspected it was a spun bearing, im gonna put the motor on the stand, tear off the head and take the bottom end to my shop, but right now im beat....

not really just started knocking so i parked it, and when i fianally got my old car out of the garage and towed to a salvage yard, i pushed it in my garage and pulled the oil pan and sure enough there were shavings

im looking forward to learning a few things w/ this project though

If you have another means of transportation and the cost issue doesn't bother you, it sounds like it should be a fun, educational project.

Got any plans for the motor now?? Just take everyhting in stride and dont rush anything, good luck and have fun.

well i dont have any other transportation so it cant be out to long. not to mention im hitching a ride to school 2 days a week and im only 18 and have a shit job, but ive got about $600 saved and im only $120 away from what i wanna do (i cant wauit till next thursday )

nothing much, i might just rebuild it stock, and just drive it till i get out of school, than sell it.

but i may throw some JDM ITR pistons (only $185 on jdmhondaparts.com) in while its apart. prolly gonna go with ARP head studs (since OEM hondas are only single use) and posssibly rod bolts as well

like i said before i just need something reliable at this point, my parents already hate me cause it broke 3 days before i started school, i figure 11:1 compression is very safe and some decent cams (over winter hopefully) will get me where i wanna be.

i miss my car though, the weather is so nice and im stuck driving my moms minivan
