Around here, they're kinda up-and-down, so sometimes the ride gets a little bouncy. Its nothing if you have your seat belt on (like you should). Especially up front. In back, people always complain about it being a little bumpy (I think a few people have hit their heads on the ceiling :chuckles: )
but its not that bad, really. not for me, anyways
I currently roll on Neuspeed springs which have dropped me aroung 1.5" or so. I also am on stock shocks as well and have had no problems. The Neuspeeds are a great spring for a reasonable price. I for sure would recomend them.

if you have a 7th gen civic you might be in trouble.
apparently they have very weak shocks.
my friend has a 2001 civic ex coupe. he got eibach sportlines installed on his stock struts with a camber kit and in a matter of weeks his ride went to hell.
on EIBACH springs he can't ride more than 4 people in the car without bouncing them to death. . .. he is in dire need of high performance shocks
however i THINK honda firmed up the damping as much as 30% for their 2002 models so you MIGHT be ok for awhile. i'm just telling you my experiences with the 7th gen
