Default my CEL came on today!!!

i went and got it checked at AutoZone and its codes

302-cyl. 2 misfire &
1399 glow plug circuit high side, high input

WTF is the second one? i know the 1st one is probably my spark plugs or wires...but i was told by the guy at autozone that 1399 shouldnt have read on my car b/c thats a code for diesals..but then i heard that the 1399 on MY car is something to do w/ my O2 sensor...

can anyone help? its a 1997 civic EX..

tia!

you did it the hard way.

You need to find the little jumper to the right of your glove box (behind it). Put a paper clip in it to complete the circuit. Then, put your key in and turn it to just before you'd start the car.

The check engine light will flash. Long for tens, short for ones. (i.e. 2 long, 3 short = code 23)

there's a how to on www.jdmfan.com when the site is working.
They also tell you what the codes mean.

hih

I thought it was called an MIL not CEL. Am I wrong or is it just named two different things?
