ITR Pistons in GSR is 25+HP??

my friend has a b18c1 in his EK and he told me today that he has integra type r pistons in his room and that it'd add 25 horsepower. is he exagurating? he said it bumps compression 10:1 to 12:1...... or was it the other way around? i duno.

type r pistons will definitly increase hp but i dont think it increases compression that much, maybe up to 11.1 or something like that

if he ran some cams, sprockets, retainters, valvesprings and had some tuning done.

tell him to dyno it before the swap....and dyno it after the swap. you'll know for sure.

itr pistons would bump up horsepower but i dont think it would bump it 25 horses

:werd: i think if he wanted to get a 25 hp gain he would have to do ITR pistons, cams, and intake manifold. maybe even the ITR header also. :dunno:

there isnt even a 25 hp bump from the gsr (175hp) to the type R(195) so yea, if you changed everything you could get 20 more

...and after he puts those pistons in there, he can throw the "Tornado" on there and get another 20 hp
