I basically wanted to know what modifications were necessary for the swap into the civic and wheather or not anything becides plugging the OBD2 sensor in was needed. **** that was all over the place wasn't it

96+ is OBD2
95- is OBD1
If you get an OBD2 ECU, it'll plug right into your car (if you have a 96+). If you want to go with an OBD1 ECU, you'll have to put the adapter on your ECU harness to get it to plug into the OBD1 ECU.

96-98 will plug into a obd2a harness
99-00 will plug into a obd2b harness
They made minor changes in the ecu in 99-00. They changed the plugs from ABD to ABC.

. I called the engine supplier back today to ask wheather or not there were leak/comp test done to the engine and if in fact it was 96+. He said between 96-98 so I should be all set.
