Which ecu would be better? a 96-00 civic ex 5 spd ecu or a 92-95 civic ex 5spd ecu? i know i can get the max out of my motor with a 92-95 civic ex ecu. if i decide to get it chipped. but the cost of that is really high. i would also have to buy the obd2 to obd1 conversion harness and those aren't cheap. with a 96-00 civic ex 5spd ecu, wouldn't that just plug into the car? i just need some suggestions. a 96-00 civic ex 5spd ecu or a 92-95 civic ex ecu?

Note to self, don't go somewhere that's gonna half ass an allready half ass job. The $$$ you spent on a VAFC you could've bought the correct corresponding ecu for the swap and went from there.

should be just plug and play but you might have to run a wire from the ecu to activate the vtec. dont quote me on it though.

Your car should be wired for VTEC. Just plug and play but you will have to remove the taps from the VAFC. Why did you get the VAFC anyway?

well the reason why i got the vafc. was to control the fuel and air ratio. i had some head work done it. if i didn't, i would be running my car really rich.

so, all i got to do is wire the vtec solenoid to the ecu. then remove the taps on the vafc? i am gonna try that when i get the ecu.

yo thanks for the help...

No prob. Keep us posted. What type of head work? I use the S-AFC and love it. It has a lot of control for the price.
