Why not put it in the oven and melt the paint off?

do not put thinner on your bumpers. use a low grit sandpaper to get the paint off.

if you're just going to repaint your bumpers you dont need to take the clear completely off you just need to scuff it so it will adhere to the new paint being applied.

Default What I use.

What you do is first, get a blow torch and heat up the bumper till it gets soft and gooy but don't let it melt or catch on fire. Then get some hydrochloric acid from your local Burger King and gently rub it on the warm gooy rubber. Don't worry about getting the acid on your fingers, they'll fall off in an hour or so. Once the bumpers are totally gone, drag your fingerless self over to a body shop and pick out some new aftermarket bumpers that meet the approval of everyone in this forum. :naughty:

Hehe, just poking fun. Most thinners that will remove the paint will also harm the material the bumper is fabricated from (as stated above). Sanding like NeverBX said will do the trick.
