I'd consider a b18b. More power, and you can boost it when you have more money..

But yeah, don't mod your CX engine, you will regret it later.

you want to more than double to horse power of a 70 hp 1.5 liter engine, and your working witha tight budget? that doesn't equate...

The only reasonable way to get HP like that is to toss a new engine in there. a D16Z/Y full swap, like stated before is $300-600 that gives you 125/126 hp

a B18B full swap out of a teg will yeild 140 hp, and is about 2000-2500

a B18C full swap out of a teg GSR puts out 170 hp and is 2500-4000+

 

ManInCamo do you know the wheel horsepower? eveytime I find a vtec d16y8 or whatever it is knuckle heads think they're worth money.

 

for most 2wd cars, you can assume whp = crankhp - 20%-25%

 

so soch vtec shud be about 100 whp (to clarify)

 

ok, lets say i put a d16 in my car then, besides the engine what would have to change to make the engine correctly fit to everything else. What kind of cost in other parts am i looking at? (used parts)

 

i hope to bring my D16Y5 to close to 200whp for under $1,500.
