Default cAr DaMaGe...why me...

Monday night, 8:45 pm...

I'm driving down 23 going about 60...it's pitch black, and kinda foggy...

I have my highs on, but I see somone coming around the bend ahead, so I switch to lows...right as the car passes I flip the highs back on and I see a deer running out of the woods heading towards the road I slam on the brakes skiding for about a second before the deer slams into my passenger side headlight, flipping over, slamming his head into my front right fender, then rolling on the hood, then the windsheild and over my car...I hate deer so much...

BUT the good this is, the damage isn't as bad as I thought. Here are some pics:

The only damage is the headlight and the fender, which obviously need to be replaced...

I went and got an estimate for the damage on my car. This is what I got:

Parts: 202.98
Labor: 370.60
Paint: 73.80
Sublet/Misc. (whatever that is): 8.00

TOTAL = $669.22

Thanks to RiceburninVTEC, the cost is lower since he sold me an extra fender for 30 bucks...thanks buddy.

Damnit....I really hate deer.

last june, 75mph when i started to hit the brakes. the hood actually folded over to the roof when it hit the top of the windsheild. cost me about $500 in parts (mostly junkyard stuff, windsheild i had installed new, rest i did myself). we didn't care about the color of the car, so the body parts got painted primer black.

no mechanical damage at all, just cosmetic. and the roof is still dented in from the hood folding over, bout 1 foot long, 2 feet wide, and dips down about an inch. the after pic....right before i got my hands on a new headlight for it. it was a $500 car and still runs great, so i really don't give a damn what it looks like!

get the new fender from riceburninvtec,....get it painted,...buy the new headlight,...put both on YOURSELF,...it will be WAY cheaper then having a body shop do it,...its not that hard to do a fender and the headlight,...if you need,...i can help you with both installs,..just PM me,..but trust me do it yourself,...only thing you probably cant do is paint the fender,...good luck
