yo why do you care...
people buy civics because they own the aftermarket parts scene, and you can have a civic and not have one stock part on it... it's fun... so what if they look fast but go slow... thats what people choose to do, spend there money on looks, not go...
if i wanted a "go" car, you're right i would have gone for something different, but i didnt want that...
why do you insist that the mr2 is the greatest thing on earth because it's turbo and looks like ****ing ass and then criticize us for taking a slow, family looking car and turning them into show winning monsters or race winning monsters.
race aspect... no matter what car you buy.... if you got the money, you can make it zoom
show aspect... aftermarket parts out the ass, good for audio... can be tricked out real easily...
insurance for a civic... depending on age... 100-200 a month
insurance for an RX-7... depending on age... 150-350 a month
rotary engine... can we say PROBLEMS?!?!

My car is totally stock. I won't be doing anything to it until I can afford to swap out the engine. It will still be reliable, still have the econo-aspect of being a honda, and have a little more power. When I get a little more money, I will put on a turbo. Now, I have a 7k car. A swap if I do it myself would cost 2-3k total. Turbo instalation + new piping, anotehr 3 or so thousand. Now, for 13 thousand dollars, I have a nice car, with pretty decent power. Find me a car with the insurance rates of a civic, the reliability of a Honda, and the decent power, and you will convert me.

Thats the thing, Civics dont look fast.
ou are entitled to your opinion, but its a tad harsh, saying that MR2's look like "ass". I NEVER said the MR2 was the greates/fastest ting on earth. It was a few of your peers that mentioned that the civic is faster than a MR2 Turbo.

IF this turns into a bunch of kids coming on here, and speweing massive amounts of ignorance around, then I am going to leave, I wanted to have a good converfsation on why you all pick the Civic with performance in mind, not to be original, copy a hit movie, copy everyone else, to be reliable, to be cheap.
