IMHO absolutely rediculous... dual exhaust on a 90hp 4 cyl car.. can you say USELESS im sure youve had TONS of ricers compliment it.. that SHOULD tell you something...

dual exhaust on you car is gay.. enough said..
oc_ If the exhaust works right, and it not your taste, why bash. For what i'm using it for it works. Every little gain in hp i'll take. Here my times on Sat the 17may. Todd Olson novice class 3rd place.

http://www.rgrscca.org/results/Allclas05.txt

Running springs, struts, exhaust, short ram, front strut braces, lower tie bar. To me thats not bad for my 2nd race. Thanks for the input.

i will absolutely not comment on something i know nothing about (autox)

i have NO doubts you are a good driver...

there is SOMETHING about the lack of function of dual exhaust on a 90 hp 4 cyl car.. its just silly to me.. because i KNOW that you can't posibly be making more power than say a dyno tested cat back piece..

look it SOUNDS like im knocking you... im not.. i just am VERY critical.. and VERY blunt..

you can choose to get used to it or not... the rest of your car is far from gay...

I respect your bluntness. I got the exhaust done for $200, cans and all. To me this was a better deal than a catback for $500-650. In all my years of draging it does what an exhaust is built for. To evacuate the cylinder completely. Does not matter how it looks. Like i said, "HAD" the pacesetter then went to this. 100% better for my use.

actually, dual exhausts can reduce backpressure, which in turn will harm the engine.

plus, you don't drive a mustang gt or and accord v6

Dual exhuast = useless weight. Useless weight = :ghey:

Aside from that, its a very nice looking car.

Any straight thru design mandrel bent single exhaust has under 10lbs backpressure, compared to stock levels that can range from 15-25, so I don't think he's got anything to worry about in terms of backpressure.

One bank of cylinders = one exhuast pipe.

Don't have power windows are locks. A/C is gutted. Weight is not a factor.

its still weight that is serving no useful purpose. Dumb IMO... but its your car, and if you like it, enjoy.

Backpressure is used when you shut the engine off. If your pipeing is to short is allows cold air to make contact with the valves train(valves, guides, seats, head) This is what causes valve warp, seat warp, etc. The least amonut of backpressure on your engine while is is running is a benefit. You want as much flow as possible with no pressure.

i don't think split piping actually reduces backpressure at all. The divergence would just cause turbulence, slowing the exhaust gasses and possibly even adding backpressure. Just a simple, straight shot out of the back of the car is the optimum exhaust path.

:edit: oh yeah, and if those pics are recent, the AC is still there. PS, i really don't mean to be a jerk, its a nice car, just giving my thots.
