from a cold start and letting it warm up, i shift into reverse and hear some click -type sound. sounds like something is banging into something else.. this only happens after a cold start and also i can hear the same clang when i turn on the AC... any ideas?

 

you caught a squirell in your tranny ... i have an auto and have never head this before

 

I hear this when I move from D -> R or from R -> D if I'm not completely stopped.

 

My girl's 98 ex does the same thing. I think the tranny might just be stiff from not moving for so long, not being as well lubricated or something.
