Default 98 Civic Auto Tranny Issues

I tried to do a search but I didn't find much and if I missed it, my bad.

On cold starts when I start to drive, tranny is fine but after it's been running for a bit, it slips in 1st gear. Rest are the gears are fine. I know I have to get it checked but was just wondering if any of you experienced the same issue. I'm hoping it's nothing major but who knows.

Thanks!

if you didn't, the weight shift could cause stress on the tranny. just a thought.

I take it you don't neutral drop it.

when did you change the tranny fluid last? and whats your milage?

Good thought abuot the ebrake but yeah, always do.

I def don't neutral drop.

I bought the car used and the owner (my sis) couldn't remember if she did or not. I was thinking it MIGHT be that since it shifts fine @ cold starts -- just wanted feedback before I take it to get it checked. I didn't want to service for a fluid change and find out later it was something else. That happened to me a couple cars ago.
