You can do your own alignment with a measuring tape. It's farily easy to do and I was going to do a write up on my website this weekend.

The hole tape measure thing only works half ass(better then nothing) and you can only do your toe with it. You need to hook it up on a machine to get your camber and caster good. I hope you guys do better at alignments then pretty much everyone else in this state. We had 2 people come into my work the other day with lifted pickups. One went to Big O and one to american car care. They both said there truck was pulling bad so the gave us the alignment print out of what big o did. They fixed toe on it and said that was the best they could do. Looked at the paper. 4.2 degrees cross caster. Yeah a little bit of a pull. They guy that went to american car care was the same way. They charged him for a 4x4 alignment changed his toe and gave him a print out. Said they could not fix his caster or camber because of no adjustment. Are these people stupid or can they just not see the centrix on the upper control arm? Needless to say they were alot happier when they left. Sorry about the ranting my hole thing is why say you can do alignments when you can only do it half ass? If you do a job you should atleast be able to do it right,
