blake, mine did that a lot before i put in my short throw......

my guess, your foot moves slower than your arm or the other way around, and the clutch isnt fully to the floor at the point of impact. i find i do this from time to time when i'm on the street still, so at the track, i push my seat an inch or 2 forward, and drive the same way. it usually solves my problem. it only does this in 2nd for me too

might want to try getting some Redline MTL tranny fluid... I've heard good things about it, smoother shifting, and some people stay it helps stop grinds...

I'd try that before i dump 300 on synchros.

I don't have grinding problems, but for some reason, ever since I got my car, second gear just doesn't feel right. Two other 6th gens did the same thing when I drove them. It just feels like I have to let the cluctch out so slow in 2nd or else it will start bucking a little. I assume 2nd gear is just like that in 6th gens since 3 different cars I have driven had the same thing happen?

Like XScarAudio said it could just be your shifting...I have done this a couple times in my GSR when driving hard and shifting fast. You said it only happens when you drive hard...so this mght be the cause. If not it is probably what Slacker said about being the second gear syncro...if it was the clutch you would hear it at every gear. How are your shifts from 2 - 3 when driving hard? Does it do the same?

i shift more deliberaely 2nd to 3rd... 1st to second cna be sloppy and innattentive, unfortuantely this is how i drive and i need to find a way to work with that. id like to change the goo, it needs to be changed anyway. (especially if im shavin gears)
