Default shaving side moldings

I am in the process of shaving my side moldings and I cant get the body line on the bottom to disapper. The top is hidden and is flush with the door but the bottom is sticking out. kind of like a prelude.

pics?

you know, the indent for the moldings doesn't really line up. so it's never going to be absolutely flush. you can come close, but not perfect.

how did you shave them? dont tell me you used 20lbs of bondo? easiest way is to weld sheetmetal over the "gutters". are you trying to get rid of the body line at the bottom of the door or at the bottom of the molding?

from what i have been told by many people is that you should never weld because when you heat the metal up like that it causes it to rust like you wouldnt believe. there is some kind of new stuff out that they use, it is supposed to be just a strong and wont rust. not sure what its called though.
