Default Dome Light ?

I was wondering if anybody knew of a hyperwhite dome light cause the the stock dome light isn't very bright with a layer of green blinker tint on it. Also I was wondering if anybody knew of a way to convert my dome light so it looks like the ones out of the new cavalier (i hate cavaliers too, but my friend has a tricked out one so i ride in it some times), so that all there is a smooth clear plastic panel that dome out in the middle i would leave it one permanently so that it is on door i don't use the switch anyways

thanx

there was a post a few months ago about this, and the general consensus was that hyperwhite domelights did light up the interior of your car much better than the stock bulb. I was curious about it, but never got around to experimenting. Also, the bulb was expensive, and I didn't feel like spending the money on a dome light bulb.

I saw them on a few websites...but I think they were like $15-$20 a piece or so for a little dome light bulb

i dont get this though. but like hyperwhite turn signals(polarg) and headlights of various compaines arent actually brighter. so what makes the dome light different?

The whiteness tricks the eye into thinking it's brighter. However, hyperwhite dome lights such as Polarg's do seem to light up the cabin brighter. Different filament, a tad higher wattage? I don't know and don't care...I think it's not worth the time and effort for me to research the seemingly superior performance of a dinky little dome light bulb!

Try www.optauto.com but I think they are like $14.99/pair.

Anyways, my bro has brand new Polarg pairs for sale...$12/pair shipped (two free rap and/or R&B CDs included with every order). They are 3175 size, but will fit the slightly smaller trunk light of a 5G Civic (3022 I think).
