Default Just noticed a bubble

I just noticed a bubble on the sidewall of my front left tire. How bad is this? Its nothing huge but i am just starting to worry about something like a blow out or whatnot. Is there major reason to be concerned?

well of course, cuz the rubber in that area has been damaged enough to be stretch from air pressure..
however... i had a small bump (bubble ) in my tire for a hile and no problems.

That happened when you hit a pot hole or something similar, your tire was *pinched* between the rim and the concrete. Eventually that weak spot will burst... it's hazard waiting to happen, can take a few months but it will eventually happen.

yeah, i would definitely get that tire replaced soon, because you never know when it could go, and you wouldn't want it to happen when you're on the freeway going 80, lose control, and die, because of something you knew about and could have fixed, but didn't.

Do you have Nitto NT-450's? If you do, I'd take a closer look at all of your tires. Even take them off the car and look at the other side as well.

yea i do.......i had 2 wheels off of my car today and there was no bubbles anywhere on those too. I havent checked the front insides yet but i will take care of that tomorrow.

Grrrr I dont want to get new tires. I had so many other plans

SHould I get 4 new tires or just get a new one to replace this one?

I'd suggest 4 new tires. Unless you feel that you could get away with just 2 tires for the time being until you could afford to get the other 2 later on. Personally, that would bother me to think that it's only a matter of time before my tires go bad and it might happen at the most inconvenient time. I'd just get it for peace of mind.

I'd replace the front tires ASAP... losing a rear is no where near as bad as losing a front when at freeway speeds...

I'd then replace the rear tires when your tires are due for rotation (I rotate mine when I change the oil... every 2-3 weeks (2500-3000 miles))...

if you don't put a lot of miles on your car it may be best to do all 4 at once and keep your good tires just in case you have hard times & a problem in the future...
