my parents tell me to come home early from school so i leave right when it ends. right in the middle of the traffic jam. and what happens? i get rear ended the guy is a friend of mine so i said i wouldnt report to his insurance if he took care of it $$$wise

my rear bumper isnt so bad, just mushed in a little

but heres where the real damage is: even though it was a slow accident (less than 5 mph incident) i got pushed into an suv. one with a freakin trailer hitch. that thing acted like a spear and just poked the **** outta my front bumper. pretty much all the hardware got busted loose

my mom took it to the honda body shop and they estimated a little over a grand to fix everything! hopefully the guy that hit me can take that kind of hit to the wallet. but later tonite i looked at it a little closer and noticed this::

that thing sticking out is my bumper support, which is also heavily damaged that sucker wasn't included in my estimate and i guess they're gonna charge me more for it.

heres wats on the list of the estimate he gave me

1) replace/repaint front bumper
2) replace/repaint front grill (3 pieces)
3) replace/ repaint rear bumper

total in parts:: $4xx.
total in labor:: $4xx.
additional costs (watever the #$@# that is):: $1xx.

i'm guessing its high because its a honda dealer?

:werd:

You can get a new rear bumper from www.partmartone.com for like ~$80 shipped....

They'll even do the painting for you, and that's even pretty cheap...
