I bet that is exactly what happened. Those guys are predatory. They're the type of mechanic who says "sounds like your car needs an oil change, lady" to some elderly lady filling up her Buick, then somehow the oil change leads to the discovery of 50 worn or damaged parts....

 

As posted in another thread, they dont make much for the Del Sol now, as the car was discontinued. When I get my aftermarket exhaust, Im torn between 2 choices. The Greddy SP and the Tanabe Racing Medallion. I might go with Tanabe, though. I'm checking performance issues between the two.

Exhaust Systems

If anyone has either of the 2 exhausts and can offer feedback on them, it'd be appreciated.

 

any one know anything about skunk2 exhaust systems? they look really neat and their site dyno shows good power, how are they quality wise? i dont really notice many cars with them so i dont know if thats a bad thing or what?

 

if i was going to upgrade my exhaust thats what i'd go with, you can't beat the design, sound and quality of it for the del sol. My friend has that muffler with mandrel piping on a zx2, sounds very nice and hes very happy with it.

 

i've had a skunk2 exhaust cat-back for about a year now pretty good except it corners a little tight around the bend near the gas tank. rattles a little and it's kind of hard to find a place to bend the shield. sound very deep w/o the silencer on.
