Default Engine;What do I have??

Ok a noobie here.
I have a 96 Civic EX. What kind of engine do I have? Is it a V-Tec or not? I haven't done any mods as of yet cause it has 90,000 miles on it. Should I just save up for a swap or do you think this one will hold out for a while? Thanks for your input and help.

You have a d16y8 1.6L vtec motor and unless you know mechanics I would save up for a swap to have reliable power.

Additional info: your motor is rated at 127 crank hp (chp)

You could easily add a greddy kit, but not sure how long the motor would last. I suggest swap, but I'm bias.
