Default HELP NEEDED! Aiming Headlights

Hi to all,
This may seem remidial, but I have a question about headlights. I installed a new set of headlamps, on my 96 Civic, and it went well and fits fine. But now, especially under acceleration, there is a metal like vibration sound around the front of the drivers side. Any ideas what it could be????? I am going to take off the bumper again and see if that works. Also, the beam pattern is off. After I adjust the bolts to the housing, how do I do minor adjustments. I checked my Chilton, but I really didn't understand it. I see a phillips head bolt with some gears on it, do I turn that to aim. I just wanted to check with you guys first. But that stupid vibration sound is killing me!! Please Help

do you need to aim them up and down or side to side...as for up and down, there's a phillips screw in the back in the middle of nowhere. as for the side to side i can't help, never had that problem, but i wouldn't touch those gear things until you find out what their for.

there should be a 10 mm bolt on the back you just turn it up or down depending on which direction you need to adjust then towards the bottom there is another bolt for side to side. hope i kinda helped unless you already got it

Thanks for the advice. I only need to aim up/ down. The one phillips head has a gear on it. I am guessing that is the one. Any idea what the vibration is caused from?? It only happened after I installed the bumper back on.

Most shops have a nifty tool that is used for aiming the headlights. take it in and pay $10 to have your lights aimed for you. they'll prolly do a better job than the average person can do.

Check all your mounting hardware for the bumper. I just did a bumper on our civic, and while it was not fun at all, no noises or rattling or anything else coming from it.
