Default Change: Front Mounted Intake

I know i'm going to get flamed for this.
Not ever going to boost the car. Running right now a AEM short ram intake. Love it. Going to add the CAI section but wanted your opinion on the intercooler intakes. Is this in anyway a mild form of forced induction? Who makes? I know of arospeed and R1.
Thanks

the design of them imo makes no sense

putting a paper filter low in the bumper exposed to rocks and debris will tear it up in no time

however to prevent this they include a plexiglass blocker that goes right in front of the filter. . .which pretty much nullifys any gains in performance over a regular cold air intake

rice

poor design, and you could come up with a better ram air intake design yourself for free...

I've done a homedepot grill cover. Cut out all the plastic inserts. Turned out to be very strong. Zip-tied the piss out of it. The only time i'd use the cover is in fowl weather. Learned to get the bumper cover on and off in like 2 min.

If i do a CAI, i'm cutting the plastic on the bottom of the car to get more direct air. To me the plus of a bigger filter and more direct air.

Not to mention that if you submerge that into water without having a bypass filter, you're motor will be fawked.

Not worth it, ugly and ricey.
